A bit puzzling: When we ask God for something important to our wants or needs, then receive it, we praise and thank Him for answering our prayer(s). However at other times when we ask God for other wants and needs, and don’t get what we asked for, we believe that “God was silent”. This conundrum has often puzzled me.

Juanita’s post led be wonder --- I now know Juanita a bit better, but just how well do I know God? Is it extremely personal and intimate, or is it occasional, on a need-be-basis, and difficult to define? Is the time I spend with Him personal, and as frequent as it is with my mate or best friend? If so, can I definitively explain why I believe that?

Can we ever mine to the bottom of God’s Mind? No. But we can dig deeper, and “mine” deeper into His Mind. Will there be many that bridge the huge gaps between hearing…then understanding…then apprehending…and finally, actually putting into practice a life that stretches for and reaches out for true Intimacy with God? No.
