To all my dear friends in Christ, Happy Thanksgiving!!

If we could clearly see, understand, and apprehend what God has already done on the Cross for all mankind, then what He is doing now (seen and unseen) in our behalf, and what He is preparing for each of those who have placed their trust in Him for their eternal life, we would call EVERY DAY Thanksgiving"!

To fill our hunger and thirst for more…and more, we spend our lives frantically chasing things that make us feel better, look good, become more powerful, or perhaps even help us find that one special person we believe will change our lives forever. Then, when we get “it”, ---poof ---, it disappears.

One of my favorite stories is about the dog races in Florida. They train these greyhounds to chase an electric rabbit, and one night the rabbit broke down and the dogs caught it, and then they had no idea what to do with it. They leapt in circles, yelped and bit one another, totally confused. That's what happens to people who catch their rabbits. Whether that rabbit is health, wealth, fame, beauty, a bigger house or more of whatever, they catch the prize, and don’t know what quite to do next.

Here is some great advice for mom’s and dad’s from Deut. 11:19 “Diligently teach God’s Living Words to your children, talking about Him while you walk with them along the road, when they lie down, and when they get up” (LSV).

According to statistics gathered by pollster George Barna, and penned in his insightful book Maximum Faith, well over 95% of believers are spiritually ill, and don’t even realize that they’re critically malnourished and in desperate need of "More" of The Great Physician. Why? Because unlike strokes or heart attacks, spiritually “critical” symptoms are not easily diagnosed, aren't physically debilitating or obvious, nor do the symptoms ‘scream’, I need immediate attention --- until it’s too late, and were standing face-to-Face before our Abba.
