What is authentic faith? A moment of reflection on your Journey to More:

Through God's inspiration, Paul clearly defines and characterizes the somewhat confusing word “FAITH" in Hebrews 11:1, 6:
"Now faith is complete confidence in what God says, and assurance about what He does that we do cannot see. And, without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He is Almighty God, and that He rewards, now and in eternity, all those who exhibit "faith" by passionately seeking His Face." LSV
FAITH IS COMPLETE TRUST in Some-One we’ve never seen, can’t audibly hear, don't totally understand, and some say, is One without any hard scientific evidence anyway.
Last, and perhaps most critical, without faith, we will not clearly see God's Hand in our daily lives, can’t please God, and will never receive any "by faith" rewards in Heaven.
Those who have lived (and are living) "by faith" lives, are very few and rare indeed. In Hebrews 11: 4-40, the apostle, in his "hall of faith", makes special note of the few that lived lives that could be characterized "by faith". Spend a few minutes going through the list, and take special note of what characterized each of their lives.

How are we to understand God’s answers? God says, if we “have ears that hear and eyes that see” (Prov.20:12; Matt. 13:16), we will hear and see what God is saying, trust in everything He gives, but also trust in what He withholds, knowing that He is always perfect in His judgments and always good in His decisions. That’s exactly what faith is (Heb. 11:1, 6).

Almost 70 years ago, I accepted Jesus as my Savior, and have known His assurance that He will take me to Heaven when I die. What an unbelievable gift!! However until about 20 years ago, I realized that I had never known Jesus the same way I've known other people. People that I could see, touch, audibly hear, and visibly see.
Why am I not hearing from God and clearly seeing His work in my life? A moment of reflection on your Journey to More:

The real and complete peace and joy of each believer, is God's will and desire. He intentionally made us for His Glory, His fellowship, and our eternal good. In His written Word, he tells us that He pursues us by every means possible, and tries to get our attention at every turn. His purpose: To know Him intimately, that He may have sweet fellowship with us.

Life will bring us questions without answers.
To live is to encounter silent seasons of the soul
When every prayer will seem to go unanswered,
As we face events beyond our understanding or control.
